About

Blogs

We now have over 50 history blogs online, exploring some of the more overlooked and forgotten aspects of British history. We focus on topics that have been poorly covered elsewhere, inaccurately reported, or largely ignored. Our research spans a wide range of subjects, including holiday camps, tourist attractions, and historic hotels. We take pride in starting from scratch, using trusted sources, firsthand accounts, old newspapers, vintage guidebooks, photographs, and anything else we can uncover. We don’t use AI, all blogs are written by humans. New blogs are published every few weeks, so if there’s a topic you’d like us to explore, feel free to get in touch!

Canvas Prints

Our archive boasts over 15,000 vintage images, mostly in colour and taken between the 1950s and 1990s. We hold the copyright for all our images and possess the original negatives and transparencies. Some of these images will be offered as high-quality canvas prints in our online shop. Most will feature British subjects although we may expand to include other countries in the future. Prints are available in five different sizes, starting at just £25 including delivery. New prints will be added every week.

Images are printed onto textured canvas and stretched around a 3/4″ (2cm) thick wooden frame and stapled on the back. The edges of the canvas contain a mirrored image of the print. Canvas is tougher than paper so there’s no need to frame them or put them behind reflective glass. All of our prints are delivered ready-to-hang on the wall.
